Adventures of the Red Hot Mini-van!

This weekend, Elise and I traveled to Boston for the wedding of my college friend, Carinne. We had organized travel plans with four other friends, so we flew into Boston, rented a red hot mini-van, and let the adventures begin! It was a perfect time for a reunion and a lovely time of year to be in New England. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was at a wonderful historic inn in Sturbridge. There were so many familiar faces from Messiah and it was really nice to catch up with people that I hadn't seen in years. (as well as hang out with the friends that I have kept in touch with regularly!)

There's something about being at a wedding with good friends that you've known for years that makes you feel so thankful and amazed that you have people that REALLY know you and love you anyway. College was a crazy and confusing time for all of us and we went through a lot of wonderful and terrible things together...so we had fun reminiscing about the past and seeing all the ways that we had changed and grown up since our days at MC.

On Saturday we were invited to a brunch at Andrew's parents' house (the groom). It was a cold and rainy day, so it was especially nice to again enjoy time with good friends and good food inside their lovely home. Jill, Maile, Kristen, Calliope and I felt so spoiled since we got to spend several hours visiting with the bride! (who wasn't leaving for her honeymoon until Sunday!) Hooray!!

That night we headed back to Kristen's house to spend the night. We ordered Thai food, relaxed and continued to have fun just being together. On Sunday we headed to the airport early so that we could drop Maile off in time for her flight. She left a few hours before us, so that gave us time to meet up with Emily (Josh's sister) and her boyfriend, Calley. We ended our grand Boston adventure with a few hours of visiting with them. It was Elise's first time to meet Aunt Emily, so it was very special that we could work out the details and get to see them too!!
